5.12Caching, Retiming and Rendering

  1. Cache the approved simulation. Add Tnpix Cache above the Solver and click Save cache. Use .tnc inside 3ds Max, or .abc with Write velocities for another application. A threads object gets a Tnpix Cache of its own.
  2. Retime. Key Retime for a speed ramp or a freeze (0) without simulating again; use Posterize step and Hold for animation on twos.
  3. Finish the surface. Add Tnpix Post Process above the Cache to smooth the cloth with Delta Mush and to push crossing layers apart.
  4. Add render detail. Add TurboSmooth or Shell on top, or drive a separate high-resolution garment with Tnpix Wrap bound to the cached proxy.
  5. Render with motion blur. Turn on the renderer's motion blur. A cached cloth, a torn one included, and a cached threads object blur between frames; an uncached cloth is simulated as far as each render needs.

The Cache Manager on the TenPix toolbar saves or loads the caches of every garment in one step; a garment on a shared Solver is saved together with its whole Solver group.
