Chapter 4 · The TenPix Toolbar
4.4Cloth Doctor
A cloth set-up can be wrong without anything going red: the scene opens, the modifiers are there, nothing reports an error, and the cloth floats, falls through the body or ignores the value you just changed. Cloth Doctor looks for those silent set-ups and fixes the safe ones on request. Nothing changes until you tick a finding and click Fix.

It looks for:
- a garment with no Tnpix Gravity, which will hang in the air;
- Tnpix Garment above the Solver, where it rebuilds the mesh after the simulation has read it;
- a Tnpix Collision modifier with no collider in its list;
- a substeps value below the product's minimum, which the Solver panel cannot display;
- a Tnpix Self Collision modifier that is present but switched off;
- contact passes below the quality steps' rule (4 for Iterations or Stretch quality of 4 or more, 7 for 8 or more);
- a Tnpix Cache still playing from disk, which makes every change below it do nothing;
- garments on separate Solvers, which will never collide with each other.
