2.2How a Simulation Is Assembled

Tnpix Solver is the only modifier that simulates. Every other Tnpix modifier contributes to it: Gravity contributes a direction and a strength, a material contributes fabric behaviour, Collision contributes the objects to hit, Channel contributes painted regions, and so on. When the Solver evaluates, it reads every enabled Tnpix modifier on the stack and runs one simulation with all of them applied.

  • Turning a modifier off removes its contribution. A disabled modifier behaves exactly as if it had never been added, which makes it the clean way to compare a result with and without one effect.
  • You only need the modifiers you use. A cloth with no Pin modifier simply has no pins; a cloth with no Gravity modifier has no gravity. Nothing acts on the cloth that you did not add.
