Chapter 1 · Introduction
1.4Switching Modifiers On and Off
Use tnEnabled, not enabled. Every 3ds Max modifier already has a
built-in enabled property (the light bulb), and it shadows a parameter of the same name. The TenPix modifiers
expose their own on/off as tnEnabled:
$.modifiers[#Tnpix_Garment].tnEnabled = false| Modifier | Its own switch from MAXScript |
|---|---|
| Garment, Gravity, Forces, Self Collision, Material Advanced, Pin, Stitch, Tear, Volume, Wrap, Threads | tnEnabled |
| Collision | active |
| Solver, Channel, Cache, Post Process | None: use the light bulb (enabled). Post Process has
deltaMush and detangle for its two passes. |
| Material Standard, Rigid | Their switch is named enabled and is shadowed by the light bulb;
the light bulb turns the whole modifier off. |
